Jobot is seeking a Senior EHS Coordinator in Charleston, IL to lead health, safety, and environmental programs in a manufacturing setting. This hands-on role drives a safety-first culture, partnering with operations and leadership to identify risks, implement improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4–7+ years of HS&E experience, strong OSHA/EPA knowledge, and the ability to influence across departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred.
4–7+ years of progressive Health, Safety & Environmental experience in manufacturing.
Experience developing and implementing safety programs, training, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety programs across the manufacturing operation.
Serve as a trusted safety resource for employees, supervisors, managers, and plant leadership.
Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, machine safety assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and high-risk work assessments.
Ensure controls for exposure to hazardous substances, electrical hazards, noise, radiation, and other hazards.
Promote employee involvement and accountability in safety initiatives.
Work with operations and maintenance to ensure safe work practices and stop-work when necessary.
Monitor safety performance, identify trends, and drive improvements.
