Job summary

Hobson Associates is seeking a Senior EHS leader for a large-scale, 24/7 manufacturing campus in South Carolina. This senior site role will drive environmental, health and safety strategy, regulatory compliance, and cultural leadership for a 1,000+ employee operation.

You will lead OSHA/EPA programs, manage incident investigations, CAPA, and risk reduction while partnering with plant leadership and regulatory agencies to advance a proactive safety culture and sustainable operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or medical device environment preferred.
• Strong OSHA and EPA expertise required.
• Experience leading EHS programs in high-volume operations.
• CSP, CIH, or related certifications valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide EHS strategy and regulatory compliance programs.
• Drive OSHA, EPA, DOT, permitting, waste, air, and water compliance initiatives.
• Lead incident investigations, CAPA, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Build a proactive safety culture across a large manufacturing workforce.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and corporate EHS leadership.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to influence operational strategy.

Senior EHS Leadership Opportunity – South Carolina

I’m currently recruiting for a high-impact Environmental, Health & Safety leadership position with a large-scale regulated manufacturing operation located in South Carolina.

This is a highly visible plant leadership role supporting a 24/7 manufacturing campus with more than 1,000 employees and significant operational complexity. The individual hired will serve as the senior site authority for Environmental, Health & Safety strategy, compliance, and cultural leadership.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Leading site-wide EHS strategy and regulatory compliance programs
• Driving OSHA, EPA, DOT, environmental permitting, waste, air, and water compliance initiatives
• Leading incident investigations, CAPA, risk reduction, and continuous improvement efforts
• Building and strengthening a proactive, accountability-driven safety culture across a large manufacturing workforce
• Serving as the primary site liaison with regulatory agencies and corporate EHS leadership
• Participating directly with plant leadership and influencing broader operational strategy
