Job summary

Itron in West Union, SC is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety for a large manufacturing site with ~1,500 employees. You will assess and strengthen the EHS program, maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and drive practical safety improvements on the shop floor.

You will own LOTO, machine guarding, risk assessment, investigations, and corrective actions while working with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and site leadership to embed safety into daily

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of experience leading EHS programs or functions for a complex manufacturing operation.
• Demonstrated experience implementing, rebuilding, or improving Lockout/Tagout programs.
• Strong experience evaluating machine guarding and machine safety with engineering/maintenance.
• Experience assessing EHS management systems and driving corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the site's EHS management system to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Develop corrective actions and strengthen EHS performance across the site.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications while improving practical effectiveness.
• Lead Lockout/Tagout program improvements and machine safety initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations to address hazards and risk.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs and emergency preparedness.
• Track EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
