Job summary

Smithfield Foods in Denison, IA, seeks a Senior EHS Manager to lead the site’s Environmental, Health and Safety programs and a growing EHS team. You will drive regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and training across the location while partnering with site leadership on continuous improvement initiatives.

You will oversee ISO EHS practices, safety metrics, and risk management programs, ensuring alignment with Smithfield’s core values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related field and 8+ years of experience.
• Experience leading EHS programs and teams.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and management systems for the location.
• Manage EHS team including planning, assigning work, and development.
• Coordinate training and ensure regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Oversee investigations and drive corrective action implementation.
