Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager in Georgia to drive worker safety and environmental stewardship across our operations. You will lead EMS, SIPS, and the ammonia refrigeration PSM/RMP programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA standards, and coordinate training for all levels of the site.

You will guide incident investigations, audits, and corrective actions, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through leadership and proactive risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, health and safety or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated team management or project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure OSHA, EPA and company standards compliance.
• Maintain EMS and SIPS, lead ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification efforts.
• Manage Process Safety and Risk Management for ammonia refrigeration.
• Coordinate site security plans with management.
• Train production staff and management on OSHA and environmental regulations.
