Job summary

ERM is seeking a Senior Consultant, EHS Compliance in the United States (Indianapolis, IN or St. Louis, MO). You’ll tackle complex regulatory challenges, support high-profile projects for global clients, and grow technical depth within a leading sustainability consultancy.

You will lead EHS compliance activities, coordinate with project teams, and deliver high-quality data, reports, and plans while traveling to client sites as needed. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, environmental science or related field; Masters preferred.
• Minimum 3.25 GPA or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant environmental experience.
• Ability to travel and work outdoors in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability, site investigation and remediation, and due diligence transactions.
• Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, hazardous material management, oil spill prevention and NPDES storm water and wastewater programs.
• Perform environmental compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Provide general EHS compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed.
• Perform Phase I environmental site assessments to support property transfer transactions.
• Conduct fieldwork, including sampling, ecological field studies, drilling, well installation, remedial pilot tests, construction oversight, and remedial system operation and maintenance.
• Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation.
• Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and with high quality standards on project deliverables.
