Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, EHS Compliance to lead strategic environmental, health, and safety programs for pharmaceutical and manufacturing clients in the Mid-Atlantic. Based in Philadelphia or Ewing, New Jersey, you will shape regulatory strategies, drive business development, and deliver high-impact solutions.

You will mentor teams, build executive relationships, and collaborate with global ERM experts to expand our EHS services while ensuring client success and regulatory

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Occupational Safety, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental), Environmental Science, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of environmental/compliance consulting experience, including 3+ years of business development experience.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver large, complex EHS compliance programs while achieving exceptional client outcomes.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, business development, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Driver's License Required: This position requires travel to client locations across a large geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERM’s EHS compliance and auditing services in the Mid-Atlantic through strategic leadership and market growth initiatives.
• Build, maintain, and expand relationships with pharmaceutical and manufacturing clients, delivering value and securing repeat business.
• Lead permitting, compliance assurance, and auditing programs with focus on regulatory alignment and project objectives.
• Provide coaching and technical leadership to junior and mid-level consultants to foster growth.
• Collaborate with ERM experts globally to deliver integrated client solutions.
