Job summary

ERM, a global sustainability consultancy, is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, H&S Auditing & Compliance in Indianapolis. You will lead large client engagements, shape HS&E strategy, and drive improvements that reduce risk and strengthen compliance across industries.

You will build trusted relationships, mentor consultants, and integrate ESG drivers into operations. Frequent travel across a broad geographic area is expected; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Background in science, engineering, safety.
• 5+ years (8+ preferred) of HSE leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong regulatory compliance strategy and execution experience.
• Experience in health & safety management systems, auditing, and operational risk solutions.
• Experience developing and delivering H&S programs that improve performance and reduce risk.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and understand complex business needs.
• Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
• Travel up to client locations across a large geographical area.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

• Build and grow health & safety client relationships, delivering high‑value, world‑class services.
• Develop and deploy H&S compliance solutions and management systems.
• Design and lead H&S audit programs.
• Integrate ESG considerations into H&S compliance, audits, and management systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and co-create tailored, forward‑thinking solutions.
• Mentor and guide a high‑performing consulting team.
