Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced EHR IT Support specialist in the United States, Tennessee, to ensure HL7 compliant integration, maintain EHR and Practice Management systems, and provide end-user support across clinical and administrative users.

You will collaborate with clinicians and IT teams to optimize workflows, implement security measures, manage system updates, and document requirements for projects while staying current with healthcare IT trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years supporting EHR/Practice Management in healthcare.
• Experience with cloud platforms and supporting software applications.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Ivanti for issue tracking.
• Knowledge of HL7 and IT security best practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration and support of HL7 standards.
• Maintain and manage EHR and practice management systems for secure operation.
• Gather and document business requirements for the EHR system with stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing EHR support, including updates, troubleshooting, data accuracy, and HIPAA-compliant security.
• Resolve technical issues and enhance platform performance with developers and administrators.
• Perform system updates, patches, and backups to maintain data integrity and reliability.
• Provide end-user technical support and coordinate with vendor support teams.
• Assist trainers with clinic staff training programs.
• Analyze clinical workflows and processes to identify EHR optimization opportunities.
• Generate and analyze reports for clinical and administrative decision-making.
• Provide advanced Windows troubleshooting and support for software and cloud platforms.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to understand issues and provide timely solutions.
• Compose detailed JIRA tickets for developers and administrators.
• Ensure IT systems and data security according to best practices and company policies.
• Use REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger for testing and documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
