Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an EH&S Manager to oversee environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple DC Metro area offices. The role requires 5–20+ years in EH&S with strong construction safety experience and a BS in a related field.

Responsibilities include developing safety programs, conducting audits, training, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Travel to job sites may be required, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Management, Safety Management, or equivalent.
• OSHA 500, CHST, ASP/GSP designations required; CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs to comply with OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
• Ensure all activities meet EH&S requirements and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and environmental impacts.
• Lead safety training programs and emergency response planning for employees.
• Maintain records of safety training, incidents, and audits for compliance and audits.
• Oversee hazardous materials handling and waste management.
