Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company seeks an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for commercial projects. This role develops programs to comply with OSHA, environmental laws, and safety standards on site to protect workers and the community.

With 3–20+ years in EH&S and construction safety, you will train staff, perform audits, investigate incidents, and drive improvements while promoting sustainable practices across locations and lead safety culture across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 500) and CHST/ASP/GSP designation preferred.
• CSP designation preferred.
• Bilingual in English and another language preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental laws.
• Experience leading safety training and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs to comply with OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
• Ensure activities meet EH&S requirements and standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes and maintain compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and environmental impacts.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop safety and environmental training programs for employees.
• Lead safety teams and promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Coordinate with management to improve EH&S performance.
