Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to lead safety and regulatory compliance across multiple locations. The role focuses on audits, incident investigations, training design, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with operations, fleet, and leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7+ years of EH&S experience, strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations, and professional certifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
5-7+ years of progressive EH&S experience across multiple sites.
Experience leading safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations with corrective actions.

Responsibilities

Lead OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state environmental compliance across sites.
Design and conduct safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations; drive corrective actions.
Develop and deliver employee safety training programs (Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, DOT Hazmat).
Maintain EH&S databases, training records, and compliance reports for leadership.
