Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Senior EH&S Specialist to lead safety and regulatory programs across multiple sites. You will drive audit programs, incident investigations, training, and environmental compliance initiatives to strengthen workplace safety.

You will mentor junior staff, partner with operations and leadership, and travel up to 40–50% to support audits, inspections, and onboarding across locations in the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety, environmental field or related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive EH&S experience across multiple sites.
• Experience leading safety inspections, compliance audits, and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations; hazardous waste program experience required.
• Professional CSP/ASP/OSHA 30-hour General Industry preferred; CSP a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations across sites.
• Own environmental compliance programs for regulated waste, wastewater, air emissions, and related areas.
• Develop and deliver employee safety training curricula.
• Present monthly/quarterly/annual compliance reports to leadership.
• Travel 40–50% for audits, investigations, training, and support.
