Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services seeks a Senior EH&S Specialist to lead safety and regulatory compliance across a growing multi-site network. You will partner with Operations, Fleet, HR, and site leadership to strengthen workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.

This role owns complex safety audits, investigations, training, and continuous improvement initiatives; travel 40–50% to company locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive EH&S experience across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations; hazardous/regulatory waste experience.
• Certifications such as CSP/ASP/OSHA 30+ preferred; advanced credentials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety inspections, compliance audits, and incident investigations.
• Own environmental programs for regulated waste, air, water and spill prevention.
• Design and deliver employee safety training curricula (PPE, Hazard Communication, HazMat).
• Maintain EH&S databases, training records and compliance reports.
• Mentor junior EH&S staff and lead cross-functional projects.
• Travel 40–50% to company locations for audits, training and support.
