Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. seeks an experienced administrator to lead the Department of Surgery Continuing Professional Education, coordinating symposiums, lectureships, grand rounds, and morbidity/mortality conferences.

The role oversees budgets, materials, databases, reporting, accreditation, and collaboration with faculty and external partners to advance educational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Experience in event coordination and continuing professional education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines for program deliverables.
• Develop and manage program budgets.
• Schedule people and material resources.
• Serve as the primary contact for all named lectureships and leads symposiums in Department of Surgery Programs.
• Coordinate the development of program materials including educational materials, marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive databases and files related to the program.
• Organize internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
• Maintain proficiency in CME accreditation and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Serve as primary liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliated institutions, outside institutions and national organizations.
• Create budgets and manage finances for all programs.
• Coordinate recruitment of speakers.
• Design and create brochures, flyers, handbooks and other educational materials.
• Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities with independence.
• Monitor programmatic budgets.
• Report program progress and data to program stakeholders.
