Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin seeks an administrative leader to manage the Department of Surgery Continuing Professional Education, including symposiums, named lectureships, and weekly grand rounds. You will collaborate with faculty to coordinate daily administrative activities and support the program’s goals.

The role requires organizing budgets, materials, and events; maintaining databases; and ensuring CME accreditation compliance with a high degree of independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience required or equivalent experience substituting education.
• Experience in continuing professional education or event coordination preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administrative operations of the Department of Surgery Continuing Professional Education, including symposiums, lectureships, grand rounds and morbidity/mortality conferences.
• Develop and manage program budgets, timelines and resource schedules.
• Coordinate recruitment of speakers and development of educational materials, reports and websites.
• Maintain comprehensive databases and files; monitor program progress and compliance with CME accreditation requirements.
• Serve as primary liaison with faculty, administrators, and external institutions; oversee staff and reporting to stakeholders.
