Job summary

Hive Group is seeking a highly skilled Editor / Technical Writer SME III to support our GSA AAS client. The role leads complex federal acquisition documentation, SOPs, and strategic communications with FAR/DFARS mastery.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise with Microsoft and Google productivity suites and hands-on AI-assisted editing experience. Remote or hybrid work with on-site one day weekly near HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, Education, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years as Editor/Technical Writer/Acquisition SME in Federal environment.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS/GSAR and Federal policy mandates.
• Expert-level fluency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience with AI-driven writing, research, and editing tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute expert-level quality reviews of government acquisition documents for FAR/DFARS/GSAR compliance.
• Refine technical content to ensure clarity and remove ambiguity.
• Analyze complex requirements and identify risks, proposing solutions before final submission.
• Maintain and update acquisition templates to reflect policy changes.
• Mentor the Technical Writer team and institutionalize editorial best practices.
• Use Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and AI tools to streamline reviews.
• Deliver constructive feedback to improve processes and automation.
• Maintain client-facing style guides, templates, and SOPs.
• Collect metrics to improve templates, training, and communication.
