Job summary

Horizon Engage, a New York-based strategic intelligence platform, is seeking an energetic Editor to maintain and expand our stakeholder intelligence product. You will edit client-facing deliverables with analysts, ensuring clarity, structure and consistent tone before reaching clients.

This hands-on role involves collaboration with subject-matter experts, meticulous language editing, and light photo editing to support presentation of reports.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional editing, rewriting or research-writing experience in political risk, geopolitics, intelligence or government affairs.
• Excellent copy-editing skills and a sharp eye for structure, logic and tone.
• Able to handle copy written by non-native English speakers and familiar with AP style.

Responsibilities

• Line and content editing: Edit analyst-written content for clarity, structure, logic and tone.
• Analyst collaboration: Provide constructive feedback to strengthen writing over time.
• House style and consistency: Enforce AP style-based house style across the product.
• Production and quality control: Final quality checks before publication or client delivery.
• Photo editing: Light photo editing to support visual presentation.
• Process improvement: Help refine editorial guidelines and workflows.
