Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Technician to join the Legal department in supporting a Federal agency. The role involves processing, validating, and loading eDiscovery productions, ensuring virus checks, and coordinating with the Litigation Support Specialist for completeness. Candidates should be U.S.

citizens and eligible for a Public Trust clearance. Responsibilities include handling complex documents, monitoring productions via email and FTP,

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience supporting project task requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree; three years of additional relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks as defined in Duties & Responsibilities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log productions in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest long cover letters and describe the production briefly.
• Obtain passwords from producing party when media is encrypted without a password.
• Determine if cover letters qualify for Relativity loading.
• Virus scan production off-network with multiple protection tools.
• Follow protocol to address issues or reject dirty productions.
• Copy clean productions to the Agency's network per protocol.
• Handle documents per procedures (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, International, BSA, audio files, transcripts, laptops, paper).
• Analyze productions to determine required processing and applicable protocol.
• Assess data for completeness.
• If load-ready, verify all components present; communicate if incomplete.
• Monitor incoming productions via email and FTP site.
• Scan small amounts of paper and coordinate off-site scanning for large paper boxes.
