Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Technician to support the legal organization within a large Federal agency. The role is full-time and based in the Boston area, requiring a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities include logging productions, reviewing cover letters, virus-scanning, Relativity loading eligibility, and coordinating document handling per agency protocols. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; substitution possible with 3 years of additional relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest the cover letter and provide a brief description of the production.
• Call the producing party to obtain passwords for encrypted media when needed.
• Determine if the cover letter contains substantive information for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan the production off-network using multiple antivirus tools.
• Follow protocol to address issues or reject productions if problems are found.
• Copy clean productions to the Agency's network after virus clearance.
• Handle documents per protocol (e.g., whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, International, BSA, audio, transcripts, laptops, paper).
• Analyze productions to determine required processing and protocol to follow.
• Analyze data for completeness and load readiness; notify Litigation Support if incomplete.
• Monitor for productions arriving via email and FTP site.
• Scan and OCR small amounts of paper for Relativity loading.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for large paper boxes.
