Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Technician to support the Legal department within a large Federal agency. You will manage eDiscovery workflows, perform processing, virus scanning, and verify load-ready data for Relativity, coordinating with Litigation Support staff.

The role requires three years of eDiscovery experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. You will handle sensitive documents, follow government policies, and ensure high-quality work

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience in compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree; three years additional relevant work experience may substitute the degree.
• Knowledge of information resources and excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest cover letters and describe the production succinctly.
• Call producing party for passwords if encrypted productions.
• Determine if cover letters qualify for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan production off-network with multiple tools.
• Address issues or reject production as needed.
• Copy clean production to Agency's network following protocol.
• Handle documents ( whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, international, BSA, audio, transcripts, laptops, paper).
• Analyze productions to determine processing requirements and protocol.
• Verify data completeness and load readiness; coordinate with Litigation Support.
• Monitor for productions arriving via email and FTP.
• Scan and OCR paper documents for Relativity loading; arrange off-site scanning if needed.
