Job summary

CGS Federal seeks a Senior eDiscovery Technical Advisor to join a fast-paced legal team in Washington, DC. You will lead a range of eDiscovery tasks for civil and criminal matters, FOIA requests, and congressional inquiries, ensuring compliant data handling and efficient discovery workflows.

Qualifications

• Five years of eDiscovery and litigation support experience with client solutions.
• Three years of progressively more responsible experience on major lit support projects.
• Two years in Relativity, beyond document review coding.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with both technical teams and business leaders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and in a government-contract setting.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (active clearance preferred).
• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience; JD highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, preserve, collect, process, and produce ESI for civil and criminal litigation and inquiries.
• Provide expertise in criminal discovery support including planning and execution of discovery tasks.
• Serve as the expert user of Enterprise Vault, Discovery Accelerator, LHMT, and Veritas eDiscovery Platform.
• Develop discovery plans with the litigation team, specifying search parameters and custodians.
• Collect data from FBI IT systems, supporting attorneys, paralegals, and agents for pre-trial discovery motions and subpoenas.
• Analyze search/collection results to identify data gaps and ensure data quality for Bates numbering and load files.
• Administer inputs into eDiscovery review platforms and manage case data, user access, and logs.
• Coordinate collection results with FBI units responsible for processing discovery for review/redaction/release.
• Provide training and technical assistance on eDiscovery software to attorneys and staff.
• Advise on FBI processes for identifying, preserving, collecting, analyzing, and organizing ESI.
• Offer ad hoc support to end users of the eDiscovery platform repository and document procedures for each case.
• Facilitate requests for legal hold implementation, amendment, and lifting as needed.
• Deliver eDiscovery collections on criminal cases as required.
