Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks an Edifecs Platform Operations Lead to oversee the Edifecs platform, ensuring stability, scalability, and alignment with product and business goals. This remote US-based role supports Veterans Affairs initiatives.

The candidate should have 10+ years in EDI or enterprise ops, strong AWS experience, and hands-on Edifecs expertise to guide architecture decisions, deployments, and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• Experience with Edifecs platform architecture and transaction lifecycles.
• Experience in AWS cloud environments and cloud scalability.
• Ability to translate architecture decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Edifecs Platform Manager leading the Edifecs application support organization, ensuring operational stability, scalability, compliance, and strategic alignment.
• Provide technical oversight, manage staffing, and drive roadmap execution.
• Guide architecture decisions, modernization efforts, cloud scalability, and performance strategies.
• Configure and maintain XEServer, XEngine, TPMs, SpecBuilder, and related modules.
• Guide EDI Analysts with building, deployment, and optimization of Edifecs processing rules.
• Analyze and resolve mapping issues, validation failures, functional errors, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage system logging, JVM tuning, and certificate/keystore configurations.
• Support release deployments, environment refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps Engineers, Cloud teams, and business teams.
