Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Software Developer (EDI) to lead EDI workflows and partner data validation. This remote, full-time role supports Veterans Affairs with industry-standard EDI 270/271, 276/277, 820, 834, 835, 837, and 999/277CA processing.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in EDI/healthcare, strong Edifecs experience, and AWS cloud proficiency, with excellent communication to stakeholders and agile project experience.

Qualifications

• Understanding payer/provider workflows and how EDI maps to business processes.
• Ability to interpret EDI loops/segments/elements and identify errors.
• Experience with Edifecs validation results and processing rules.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Excellent communication with business stakeholders and teams.
• Experience interpreting Edifecs routes and rulesets for accurate data flows.
• Familiarity with SpecBuilder maps and implementation guides.
• Ability to diagnose root causes of transaction errors and resolve mappings.

Responsabilités

• Own EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
• Ensure accurate transaction processing and support business operations.
• Interpret and troubleshoot 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA transactions.
• Analyze SNIP compliance, companion guides, and partner validation rules.
• Document mapping and integration changes for new partners.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for issue resolution and impact assessments.
• Support audit/compliance reviews and maintain data quality guardrails.
• Work with integration specialists on AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows.
• Validate data exchanged with non-X.12 partners.
• Identify issues from middleware layers or APIs and resolve them.
