Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Software Developer (EDI) to lead EDI workflows and ensure accurate data exchange with partners. The role emphasizes hands-on experience with Edifecs and AWS, along with SNIP validations and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise operations.
• 8+ years of EDI/HIPAA knowledge.
• Experience with Edifecs XEngine validation results and processing rules.
• Ability to interpret EDI loops/segments/elements and SNIP validations.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments and cloud data architectures.

Responsabilités

• Own functional EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
• Ensure accurate transaction processing and support business operations.
• Interpret and troubleshoot transaction sets: 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA.
• Document mapping/logical requirements for new partners and integration changes.
• Partner with business stakeholders for issue resolution and operational impact assessments.
• Support audit/compliance reviews and maintain data quality guardrails.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps Engineers, Cloud teams, and business teams.
• Work with integration specialists on AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS flows.
• Validate data sent to/received from non-X.12 partners.
• Identify issues from middleware layers or APIs.
• Query SQL for transaction details.
• Validate payloads, timestamps, statuses, and error flags.
• Reconcile mismatches between raw EDI and stored data.
