Job summary

Jobgether seeks an experienced Software Engineer (Edge – Networking & Fleet) in the United States to build and scale a large residential device network for web data extraction. You will work on a scalable scheduling platform, proxy services, and fleet management across Windows, Android, and Linux, in a remote‑first environment.

This role involves designing distributed systems, improving observability, and driving reliable networking between control services and residential peers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Rust experience in production services.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Strong written communication and collaboration in a globally distributed team.
• Familiarity with edge networking, proxies, and fleet management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Scale data plane with a horizontally scalable fetch scheduler handling tens of millions of requests daily.
• Design and build Fleet Manager control plane with inventory, health management, and rollout control.
• Develop provider integrations for onboarding new device sources via standardized workflows.
• Own and improve CONNECT proxy gateway and edge session management across environments.
• Implement secure networking using mTLS, gRPC, and streaming over unreliable connections.
• Define and maintain SLOs, availability, latency, and observability across Edge routes.
