Job summary

Echodyne seeks a Senior Software Engineer, IoT Platform, to lead edge computing and cloud integration efforts. You will build high-performance edge components in Rust/C++ and coordinate with AWS services to ensure seamless telemetry and state management from device to cloud.

You will mentor a small team, drive secure coding practices, and shape the data journey across edge devices and cloud ingestion layers for reliable, low-latency operation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on edge development with Rust/C++, and Python a plus.
• Deep experience with AWS IoT Core and RESTful APIs to manage telemetry and state.
• 3+ years in a technical lead role driving a small team.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices (AuthN/AuthZ, X.509, IAM) and edge data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate edge components interfacing with AWS cloud services.
• Design robust interfaces for reliability in disconnected or high-latency environments.
• Collaborate with the Principal Cloud Tech Lead on secure, high-throughput device-to-cloud contracts.
• Mentor edge engineers and promote AWS integration best practices.
• Identify risks early and ensure a durable edge-to-cloud bridge.
