Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. is hiring an EDA Computing / HPC Infrastructure MTS or Senior MTS to own and operate high-performance compute, storage, and scheduling for semiconductor design and tapeout workloads.

This role combines hands-on engineering with incident response and automation across on-premises and AWS environments. You will manage IBM LSF clusters, optimize performance, troubleshoot failures, and contribute to reliability through automation, monitoring, and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in EDA computing, HPC, Linux infra, storage, or cloud.
• Experience with IBM LSF batch scheduler and large-scale Linux environments.
• Strong Linux system administration on RHEL-based platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level support for EDA compute clusters for simulation, verification, and tapeout.
• Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot IBM LSF and other batch schedulers.
• Analyze job failures, queue bottlenecks, license constraints, and performance issues.
• Own hybrid EDA HPC platforms across on-prem and AWS environments.
• Support and optimize EDA storage services (NFS, NetApp ONTAP, FSx, S3).
• Design, develop, and maintain automation tools for operations and observability.
• Own and resolve ServiceNow incidents, requests, problems, and changes.
• Lead root-cause analysis and provide status updates during critical incidents.
