Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a senior data engineering professional to design, build, optimize and govern enterprise data infrastructure. You will translate business requirements into scalable data products and lead engineering and support teams across complex ETL pipelines.

Key qualifications include Ab Initio GDE, large-scale data warehousing, AWS services, and strong data governance expertise. A Master’s degree and 15+ years of experience are preferred in a global semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data warehouse artifacts based on requirements – standards, frameworks, source-target mapping.
• Strong analytical and data modeling skills including logical and physical schema design.
• Deep understanding of database technology and data use within analytic platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio and large-scale ETL development and support.
• Ownership of production data pipelines including incident triage and SLA management.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (EMR, Redshift/Postgres) and other ETL tech like Databricks and Snowflake.
• Proficiency in Python and Java for data tasks.
• Knowledge of data governance: metadata, lineage, access control, retention.
