Job summary

The Department of Transportation – New York City Division of Bridges seeks a senior analyst to oversee internal controls, evaluate performance, and support audits. The role focuses on data integrity, risk assessment, and producing executive dashboards for management decisions.

You will collaborate with multiple units to improve data quality, develop KPI trackers, and present findings in briefs and reports for leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor's degree with required credits and 1 year of relevant experience in finance, economics, or public policy.
• Experience in internal auditing, financial analysis, or policy analysis is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal control principles and government accountability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain milestones, KPIs, target dates, owners, and escalation thresholds.
• Participate in performance-review meetings across Bridges and DOT offices.
• Review timeliness and efficacy of internal processes and workflows.
• Coordinate with engineers, fiscal staff, procurement, legal, and IT to resolve obstacles.
• Assist in coordinating responses to audits and tracking corrective actions.
• Develop procedures, templates, reporting standards, and record-retention policies.
• Collaborate with DOT Analytics and IT to improve data quality and automate reporting.
• Prepare executive briefings, memos, trend analyses, and presentations.
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
