Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation seeks an Administrative Management Auditor 2 to support the Head of Performance Management in overseeing audits and evaluating internal controls across the Division of Bridges. You will assess economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of processes and ensure data integrity for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 24 accounting credits incl. advanced accounting, auditing and cost accounting, and five years of full-time management auditing/EDP auditing experience or equivalent.
• A valid CPA license or CIA certificate with four years of relevant experience, including 18 months in a managerial/executive role or supervising auditors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain milestones, KPIs, dates, owners, and escalation thresholds.
• Participate in performance-review meetings and track action deadlines.
• Review timeliness and efficacy of internal processes and workflows.
• Coordinate with project managers and staff to resolve cross-functional obstacles.
• Assist in coordinating responses to internal and external audits and track corrective actions.
• Develop written procedures, templates, reporting standards, and record-retention policies.
• Partner with DOT analytics and IT staff to improve data quality and automate reporting.
• Prepare executive briefings and trend analyses translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Identify and evaluate financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Assess efficiency and productivity of staff and propose improvements.
