Job summary

WSP is seeking an Ecological Risk Assessor to join our Federal Environmental Team across multiple offices, including Morristown, NJ. You will lead risk assessments, coordinate with clients and regulators, and apply CERCLA guidance to project decisions.

The role requires a BS in toxicology or biology, 7+ years of ecological risk assessment experience, and strong communication skills. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Toxicology, Biology or equivalent.
• 7+ years of ecological risk assessment experience.
• Knowledge of USEPA CERCLA and regulatory guidance.
• Proven client/regulator interaction experience.
• Experience scoping and managing CERCLA risk assessment components.
• Strong risk communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise technical assignments and manage projects or elements.
• Lead ecological risk assessments and author proposals.
• Interact with clients and regulators to scope risk assessments for site decisions.
• Provide technical reviews to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Travel for projects, conferences, or training as needed.
