Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Ecological Risk Assessor to join our Federal Programs Team with the potential to work out of Morristown, NJ or other U.S. offices.

The role involves coordinating multimedia ecological risk assessments, project management, and regulatory support for EPA and state programs. You'll lead technical reviews, communicate with clients and regulators, and oversee scoping, data quality, and interpretation of risk assessments.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Toxicology, Biology, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in conducting, authoring, directing, and performing technical review of multi-media ecological risk assessments.
• Extensive knowledge of ecological risk assessment principles, procedures, and guidance particularly USEPA CERCLA
• Demonstrated successful interactions across a range of private sector and governmental clients
• Experience with scoping, managing, and conducting ecological risk assessment components for CERCLA stages

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise technical assignments and manages entire projects or specific elements of projects.
• Perform as lead ecological risk assessor authoring proposals and projects.
• Extensive client and regulator interaction, particularly with scoping of ecological risk assessments and application of the risk assessment results and conclusions in site decision-making.
• Provide technical review for projects to comply with environmental regulations, company standards, contract requirements, and related specifications; and
• Occasionally travel for projects, conferences, business development, or training.
