Job summary

WSP is seeking an Ecological Risk Assessor to join our Federal Environmental Team. You will work on projects across multiple offices, coordinating risk assessments and regulatory compliance in industrial, government, and commercial sectors.

The role involves leading risk assessment efforts, collaborating with clients and regulators, and contributing to project planning and execution. Strong CERCLA knowledge and multi-media risk assessment experience are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Toxicology, Biology, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience conducting, authoring, directing, and performing technical review of multi-media ecological risk assessments.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of ecological risk assessment principles, procedures, and USEPA CERCLA guidance.
• Demonstrated interactions across private sector and governmental clients.
• Performance and technical review of multi-media screening level and baseline ecological risk assessments for contaminants.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise technical assignments and manage entire projects or elements.
• Lead ecological risk assessment proposals and projects.
• Interact with clients and regulators, scoping risk assessments and applying results to site decisions.
• Provide technical review to comply with regulations, standards, and contract requirements.
• Travel occasionally for projects, conferences, business development, or training.
