Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Ecological Risk Assessor to support our Federal Programs Team from multiple offices, including Buffalo, NY. You’ll work on multimedia risk assessments and regulatory compliance, lead projects, and interact with clients and regulators to influence site decisions.

The role requires strong CERCLA expertise, 10+ years in risk assessments, and the ability to travel for projects and conferences. A BS is required; MS preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Toxicology, Biology, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in ecological risk assessments with increasing project complexity.
• Extensive knowledge of ecological risk assessment principles, procedures, and USEPA CERCLA guidance.
• Demonstrated success interacting with private sector and government clients.
• Experience with multi-media risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Experience scoping and managing CERCLA process stages and work products.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise technical assignments and manage projects or elements.
• Lead ecological risk assessment work, including proposals and projects.
• Interact with clients and regulators on scoping and applying results.
• Provide technical review to ensure regulatory and contract compliance.
• Occasionally travel for projects, conferences, or training.
