NYU Langone Health is seeking a Senior Electrocardiogram Technician to perform and analyze cardiac ultrasound testing, including M-mode and Doppler, TEE, and stress echocardiograms. The candidate will prepare equipment, ensure patient comfort, and document findings according to department procedures.

The role requires minimum three years of EKG tech experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with patients and physicians.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent with EKG/Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician certification, or comparable experience.
• Minimum three years of experience as an EKG Technician in acute or ambulatory care.
• Good communication skills.

Mansioni

• Provide patient comfort and prepare equipment for procedures.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient privacy at all times.
• Maintain and sterilize equipment; notify supervisor of equipment issues.
• Document echocardiograms and record pertinent data.
• Assess echocardiograms to determine necessary diagnostic study.
• Alert medical staff to abnormalities requiring immediate attention.
• Assist cardiologist in case of cardiac emergencies.
