Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform and analyze comprehensive cardiac ultrasound testing including TEE, 3D reconstruction, Doppler, and vascular studies. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound.
• Registry by the American Registry to Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient comfort and arranges equipment for procedures.
• Prepares equipment and supplies according to established procedures.
• Identifies patient, verifies identity, and explains procedures to patients.
• Maintains patient privacy and documents echocardiograms per department policy.
• Assesses echocardiograms and determines requirements for complete diagnostic study.
• Alerts staff to abnormalities and assists cardiologist in emergencies.

Accredited ultrasound program

ARDMS or CCI certification within 1 year of employment
