Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with a licensed EKG school certificate, or Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician certificate, or comparable acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient comfort and arranges equipment for procedures.
• Prepares equipment and supplies according to departmental procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and explains procedures to patients.
• Maintains and sterilizes equipment per policy and reports issues to supervision.
• Documents echocardiograms and enters all pertinent data.
• Assists cardiologist during emergencies and compares current studies to previous ones.
