NYU Langone Health is seeking a Senior Electrocardiogram Technician to perform and analyze cardiac ultrasound testing including M-mode, 2D, Doppler, TEE, and stress echocardiograms. The role involves patient comfort, equipment preparation, and accurate documentation of echocardiograms.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant EKG/MA/PCT certification or comparable experience in acute care. Strong communication skills are essential.

Competenze

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with a licensed EKG school certificate, or Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician certificate, or comparable acute care experience.

Mansioni

• Provides patient comfort and arranges equipment for procedures.
• Prepares equipment and supplies according to departmental procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and explains procedures to patients.
• Maintains and sterilizes equipment per policy and reports issues to supervision.
• Documents echocardiograms and enters all pertinent data.
• Assists cardiologist during emergencies and compares current studies to previous ones.
