Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Echocardiographic Technician to perform 2D, M‑mode, and Doppler studies including stress and transesophageal echocardiograms under supervision and independently as required.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of adult echocardiography experience, ARDMS RDCS certification, and a BLS certificate. Duties include preliminary interpretations, record maintenance, and coordination with Cardiac Imaging Physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• 3 years of adult echocardiography experience.
• BLS certificate required.
• ARDMS RDCS certification required.
• Ability to perform and interpret echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2‑D, M‑mode, and Doppler studies, including stress and pharmacologic stress echocardiography.
• Notify physicians for urgent or pre‑operative readings and prepare preliminary interpretations.
• Maintain records for echo studies and ensure proper billing and documentation.
• Work independently under supervision and collaborate with Cardiac Imaging team.
