Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Senior Ultrasound Technologist in Manhattan to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations and to provide training to Ultrasound Technology students. The role requires certification in ultrasound/vascular technology and ARDMS eligibility within 1 year of hire, with at least five years of ultrasound experience.

You will operate ultrasound equipment, obtain quality images, and present findings to physicians while maintaining patient records and ensuring privacy

Qualifications

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
• Registry eligible to take ARDMS exam within 1 year of hire.
• Five years of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient comfort and prepares equipment for procedures, verifying patient identity and ensuring privacy.
• Maintains and sterilizes ultrasound equipment and performs preventive maintenance.
• Performs ultrasound scans and ensures transducer captures images correctly.
• Evaluates image quality and interprets findings for physicians and the healthcare team.
• Maintains patient records and adds notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
