Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA, seeks a Senior Echocardiographer to perform and analyze advanced echocardiographic studies including TTE, TEE, and stress tests. You will mentor staff, manage shifts, and support quality initiatives within a busy non-invasive lab.

The role requires up-to-date knowledge of echocardiography techniques, strong leadership and communication skills, and collaboration with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic information and superior patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines (required)
• Associate Level Degree (required)

Responsibilities

• Perform two-dimensional, Doppler, transesophageal and stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart function
• Provide leadership to staff, manage schedules, and support accreditation and education
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate reports
