Job summary

Goldbelt Glacier seeks an EAP Counselor to provide confidential, short-term counseling and referrals to NGA federal employees and managers, supporting mental health, well-being, and workplace productivity under the NGA EAP framework.

Responsibilities include short-term counseling (up to six sessions per issue), virtual sessions, crisis response, resource referrals, and delivering education sessions to the NGA workforce, while ensuring privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience required.
• Licensed mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) with EAP or clinical counseling experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required; able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, one-to-one short-term counseling to federal employees for work-related behavioral health concerns.
• Conduct short-term sessions (up to six per issue) and coordinate follow-up resources as needed.
• Administer virtual sessions and onsite support, including crisis response and referrals.
• Deliver weekly informational sessions and seminars for NGA staff, maintaining privacy and professional standards.
• Document sessions and ensure compliance with policies and privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with agency leadership to align EAP objectives with employee support strategies.
