Goldbelt Glacier-Health Services, LLC is seeking an EAP Counselor to provide confidential, short-term counseling and referrals to NGA federal employees. The role supports mental health, well-being, and workplace productivity through compliant, professional services and collaboration with agency leadership.

The position involves short-term counseling (up to six sessions per issue), virtual delivery, urgent incident support, and regular reporting.

Qualifications

• Expertise in behavioral/mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and employee wellness strategies.
• Familiarity with federal EAP guidelines and confidentiality standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for sensitive interactions.
• Knowledge of referral networks and community resources for extended care.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert-level confidential counseling to federal employees with behavioral-based issues affecting work.
• Conduct short-term counseling sessions (up to six per issue).
• Administer virtual sessions with employees and their families as needed.
• Respond to urgent incidents and discuss referral services.
• Support crisis or urgent matters beyond regular shifts under supervision.
• Report urgent situations to Government points of contact and provide resources.
• Deliver weekly mental health briefings to the NGA workforce.
• Maintain a confidential online library of health resources.
• Submit utilization and quarterly/annual reports as prescribed.
• Conduct promotional campaigns to raise awareness across regions.
• Ensure EAP policies comply with state and federal laws and privacy regulations.
• Provide scheduled and walk-in counseling for workplace and career concerns.
• Deliver up to six counseling sessions per issue and discuss alternatives when limit reached.
• Provide an onsite session to eligible contractors or military personnel for urgent issues and discuss referrals.
• Screen for substance-use disorders and assist with referrals.
• Maintain professional client-service practices.
