Job summary

Conterra Networks, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to oversee end-to-end E-Rate billing and revenue recognition. You will coordinate with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Sales to ensure accurate invoicing and compliant funding documentation.

The role focuses on USAC/BEAR compliance, cash application, and cross-functional billing activities for E-Rate customers, with emphasis on timely, audit-ready processes and customer-centric service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of billing experience in a high-volume environment, telecom/utility preferred.
• Familiarity with E-Rate billing processes and USAC requirements.
• Experience with billing applications and systems like Salesforce and Sitetracker.
• Strong understanding of bill cycle management and accurate invoicing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and maintain customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end E-Rate billing activities for eligible customers and contracts.
• Prepare and process monthly E-Rate invoices and billing adjustments.
• Ensure billing aligns with funding commitments, contracts, and milestones.
• Validate billing accuracy prior to invoice issuance.
• Monitor E-Rate billing schedules and funding requirements.
• Maintain documentation supporting all billing transactions.
• Track reimbursement status and funding utilization.
• Reconcile approved funding with billed and collected amounts.
