Job summary

Conterra Networks in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to own end-to-end E-Rate billing and overall billing operations. You will ensure accurate invoicing, timely revenue recognition, and cash application while coordinating with Legal, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Customer Care.

The role focuses on administering E-Rate programs, maintaining USAC compliance, and managing documentation for audits. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of billing experience in a complex, high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with E-Rate billing and USAC requirements is preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce and Sitetracker is a plus.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end E-Rate billing for all eligible customers and contracts.
• Prepare and process monthly E-Rate invoices and adjustments.
• Ensure billing aligns with funding commitments, contract terms and milestones.
• Validate billing accuracy prior to invoice issuance.
• Monitor E-Rate billing schedules and ensure funding compliance.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Sales and Customer Care.
• Apply customer payments accurately and research unapplied cash.
