The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and about six years of claims management experience, with strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business.
• Six years of claims management experience required.
• Strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex professional liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure and resolution.
• Conducts full investigations and provides reports of investigation for new events and claims.
• Negotiates settlements up to designated authority level.
• Calculates reserves and monitors reserve adequacy throughout claim life.
• Coordinates legal defense by assigning attorneys and reviewing invoices.
