Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Claims Specialist for Professional Liability to work remotely in the U.S. You will analyze complex E&O, D&O, EPL claims and coordinate case management to resolve matters efficiently.

Ideal candidates bring six years of claims management experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage costs while delivering excellent client service. Remote work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; licenses as required; professional certification as applicable.
• Six (6) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process complex/professional liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Conduct full investigations and provide reports on new events, claims, and legal actions.
• Negotiate settlements up to designated authority level.
• Calculate and monitor reserves; ensure adequate reserve levels throughout life of claims.
• Recommend settlement strategies and present structured proposals to maximize outcomes.
• Coordinate legal defense by assigning counsel and reviewing invoices; ensure compliance with client guidelines.
• Utilize cost containment methods and strategic vendor partnerships to reduce costs.
• Investigate fraud, subrogation, contribution, and recovery opportunities.
• Represent the company in depositions, mediations, and trial monitoring as needed.
• Maintain client communications and professional relationships; ensure proper file documentation.
• Refer cases to supervisor as appropriate and mentor assigned staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support quality programs.
