Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Claims Specialist, Professional Liability for a US Telecommuter role. You will analyze complex professional liability claims, coordinate case management, and drive cost-effective outcomes with clients and internal teams.

Required are six years of claims management experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package and remote work flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex professional liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Conducts or assigns full investigation and provides report of investigation.
• Negotiates claim settlement up to designated authority level.
• Calculates and assigns reserves; monitors reserve adequacy.
• Recommends settlement strategies and presents structured proposals to maximize settlement.
• Coordinates legal defense by assigning attorneys and reviewing invoices; ensures client guidelines are followed.
• Uses cost containment techniques including vendor partnerships to reduce total claim costs.
• Identifies fraud, subrogation, contribution, recovery opportunities to reduce costs.
• Represent company in depositions, mediations, and trial monitoring as needed.
• Communicates claim activity with clients and maintains professional relationships.
