Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of claims-handling experience.
• Expertise in commercial and personal liability policies.
• Experience managing litigated claims.
• Ability to interpret policy language and evaluate coverage.
• Proven negotiation skills including mediation/arbitration.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve commercial and personal liability claims.
• Analyze policy language to determine coverage determinations.
• Manage litigated claims from assignment through resolution.
• Assess liability, damages, and overall claim exposure.
• Establish and monitor claim reserves.
• Identify and pursue risk transfer and subrogation opportunities.
• Develop and execute effective claims-handling strategies.
• Negotiate settlements through direct negotiations and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with defense counsel, insureds, claimants, agents, and stakeholders.
• Prepare coverage denials and communicate decisions clearly.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide claims guidance to internal teams.
