Job summary
Veolia | North America is seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Specialist to bridge field maintenance and system engineering. You will design, integrate, and troubleshoot complex control systems, lead capital projects, author technical docs, and develop PLC/SCADA logic while remaining hands-on for critical repairs.
You will program PLCs, DCS, and HMIs (primarily Allen-Bradley) and lead commissioning of new equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory
Qualifications
- Associate degree or diploma in Electronic Engineering/Technology or related field.
- Knowledge of control theory and electronics.
- Experience with industrial networks and NEC/OSHA standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, P&IDs, and drawings.
- Program/configure PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley).
- Perform high-level electrical tasks including wiring and power distribution.
- Lead commissioning of new equipment and verify instrumentation specs.
- Create lifecycle documentation and as-built drawings.
- Promote OSHA and environmental safety; develop spill and arc flash protocols.
- Provide expert emergency technical support for plant outages.
